Electric Scissor Lift

Hangcha Australia provides a couple of choices of electric scissor lifts, including an indoor self-propelled model and an outdoor crawler model. As a part of the aerial work platform, the electric scissor lift offers fast, stable vertical access for installation, maintenance and picking tasks. Our electric scissor lift delivers platform capacities up to 450 kg with a working height up to 13.8 m. Remember to confirm the required working height and platform capacity, floor flatness, aisle clearances and gradients to ensure a safe and precise fit for your site.

Selection guide to the right electric scissor lift

Working height and platform capacity

Check the highest point your operators need to reach and allow extra room for tools and a safe working area. Choose a scissor lift with enough working height and a platform capacity that covers your heaviest task.

Indoor or outdoor use

For smooth warehouse floors and indoor work, a compact self-propelled scissor lift is usually the best choice. For outdoor work on rough, uneven or partly finished ground, a crawler scissor lift gives better stability and traction.

Aisle width and turning space

Measure your narrowest aisles and compare them with the lift's width and turning radius, leaving a margin for safety. The right scissor lift moves smoothly between racks without getting stuck in tight aisles.

Electric Scissor Lift FAQ

Why do I need a scissor lift?
A scissor lift gives operators a safer and more efficient way to carry out maintenance and picking in high areas, compared with a traditional ladder.

What should I do if I get stuck at height while using a scissor lift?
Stay calm and remain inside the platform. All of our models have an emergency lowering function. If it does not work, ask a ground worker to use the manual emergency descent controls.

Can I use a mini self-propelled scissor lift outdoors, or an HS crawler scissor lift indoors?
The mini models are designed for indoor work and the HS series for outdoor work, but you can swap them in some cases. If an outdoor surface is smooth and even, the mini model can handle outdoor tasks. HS crawler machines can work indoors, but their tracks may damage the floor, so we recommend matching the lift type to the environment.

What is the difference between an electric and a crawler scissor lift?
Electric self-propelled models suit smooth indoor floors and use non-marking tyres, while crawler models use rubber tracks and lithium-ion power to handle uneven outdoor ground.

Do I need a licence to operate a scissor lift in Australia?
Scissor lifts under 11 m generally do not require a high-risk work licence, but operators must be trained and competent, and many sites also ask for a Yellow Card. Always check your state regulator and site requirements.

Are Hangcha electric scissor lifts suitable for indoor use?
Yes. The Mini Self-Propelled model is electric, compact and uses non-marking tyres, which makes it ideal for warehouses, factories and retail floors.

What working height and capacity do Hangcha scissor lifts offer?
Hangcha electric scissor lifts offer working heights up to 13.8 m and platform capacities up to 450 kg, depending on the model.

Do you deliver scissor lifts to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane?
Yes. We deliver electric scissor lifts across VIC, NSW and QLD from our Dandenong, Sydney and Brisbane warehouses.
