Working height 5.9 to 7.6 m and platform capacity up to 250 kg. A compact, battery-electric scissor lift on non-marking tyres, small enough to travel between floors in a goods lift. Zero emissions and low noise make it suited to warehouses, factories, retail stores and offices, and it is rated for slopes up to 30%.
Working height 6.5 to 13.8 m and platform capacity 230 to 450 kg. Rubber tracks and hydraulic outriggers with one-touch auto-levelling keep the platform stable on gravel, soil and uneven slabs. An 8 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery supports fast charging and long shifts, and the IP67-rated travel motor is sealed against dust and water.

Working height is platform height plus about 2 m. On the HS Series, 13.8 m working height puts the platform at roughly 11.8 m. Measure the highest point you need to reach, tell us, and we will match it to a model.
Add up the operators, tools and materials that will be on the deck, then allow about 20% headroom on top of that total.
Sealed indoor floors suit a wheeled electric scissor lift on non-marking tyres. Uneven or soft ground needs a crawler on tracks. Tracks can mark finished floors, so match the machine to where it will spend most of its time.
The machine has to clear your lowest doorway and fit your narrowest aisle when stowed, not only once it is inside. A wheeled scissor lift puts its weight through four small contact patches, so check point loads on mezzanines and epoxy slabs. A crawler is heavier, around 3 t on mid-range HS models, but spreads that weight along the full length of its tracks.

An electric scissor lift is one more machine on infrastructure you already run. The HS Series charges from a standard 240 V power outlet through its built-in charger, so there is no three-phase install or dedicated charging room. Check that your service agreement can take another unit and that your operators' Yellow Cards cover class SL. Most of our warehouse customers add the scissor lift to their existing Hangcha service agreement rather than opening a second supplier relationship.
Hire is the right answer for a one-off fit-out or a height you need once a year. Ownership wins on utilisation. Take your local weekly hire rate, multiply it by the weeks you realistically need the machine each year, then add the delivery and collection charged on every hire. That last figure is where short, repeated hires quietly get expensive, and it never appears in the headline rate.
Availability matters too. A hired machine turns up when the hire fleet has one free. We hold electric scissor lift stock in VIC, NSW and QLD, so purchase lead times run in days rather than waiting on an import order.
Scissor lifts do not need a high risk work licence in Australia, but operators must be trained and competent, and most sites ask for an EWPA Yellow Card in class SL. Our aerial work platform page covers licences and standards for every machine type.
When you hire, the hire company carries the inspection burden. When you own, you do. Plan for daily pre-start checks, periodic inspections under AS 2550.10 at intervals matched to how hard the machine works, and a major inspection at 10 years of service.
