Hangcha Australia provides a series of reach trucks, available in stand-on and sit-down models for fast pallet moves and precise pallet control in high-density warehouses. As a part of the narrow aisle forklift, the reach truck offers stable lifting, smooth operation and accurate handling. Our reach truck’s loading capacity is from 1,000 kg to 2,500 kg with a lifting height up to 13 m. They are great helpers to maintain efficient workflow in tight working environments. Remember to do minimum working aisle condition checks to confirm if the model you select will be able to operate in your working aisles. For detailed information, click the reach truck selection guideline.

Why Choose Hangcha Reach Truck
Narrow aisle efficiency – Optimised turning radius and reach function for up to 3.0 m aisles.
High lift confidence – Rigid mast and smooth hydraulics for stable working at height.
Energy options – Maintenance-friendly lithium power for fast charging and minimising downtime.
Operator first – Stand-on and sit-down configurations allow precise control and excellent visibility.
How to Choose the Right Reach Truck
Aisle Width
Verify all three checks: U-turn, 90° entry, and right-angle stacking. Choose the model that passes all three checks. See the detailed algorithms in our Reach Truck Selection Guideline.
Maximum Lift and Capacity Margin
If your warehouse or workplace requires higher-level storage, plan a 10–15% allowance above the rated load. Choose a model with about 15% extra capacity over your daily maximum load.
Ground Slope
Although our reach truck range is designed with a safety slope brake, keep real-world gradients 1–2% below the truck’s rated gradeability.
General Considerations and Reach Truck Scenario Picks
We provide two different kinds of reach trucks: stand-on and sit-down models. If your operators do short, repetitive work with shorter shifts and need tight positioning in the warehouse, we recommend stand-on models. If your operators do longer continuous driving with longer shifts in a more open warehouse layout, we recommend sit-down models.
If your site is mixed, choose based on what happens more often:
More on/off + short runs + high pick rate = Stand-on Models
More driving time + longer runs + long shifts = Sit-down Models
Scenario Picks
3.1–3.3 m aisles + 800–1,000 kg pallets + 4–5 m racking
A 3-wheel stand-on model suits tighter layouts where fast turning and compact handling matter most.
3.4–3.6 m aisles + 1.2–1.5 t pallets + 5.5–6.5 m lift heights
A 4-wheel sit-down model is better for heavier pallets and more stable work at height.
More than 30% outdoor use + uneven surfaces + 10–12% ramps
A 4-wheel sit-down model is usually the better choice for mixed surfaces and stronger travel stability.
Pure indoor picking + tight aisles + frequent U-turns
A 3-wheel stand-on model is ideal for faster direction changes and efficient indoor movement.
Can Reach Trucks operate on outdoor or uneven surfaces?
Reach trucks can be used on outdoor activities, but you need to consider their gradeability feature. Gradeability measures a machine's ability to climb a slope. The higher the value, the better the machine can climb. So if the surface condition is tough, you should choose the model with a higher gradeability value.
What are the maintenance requirements for a Reach Truck?
Daily checks on forks, mast, and hydraulics are enough. For models with lithium battery, you don't need to worry about battery maintenance.
Are these trucks suitable for continuous warehouse operation?
Yes. Hangcha’s reach truck can easily handle full working shifts with little downtime. It can consistently operate smoothly during multiple shifts.
