Hangcha Australia provides a series of electric pallet jacks (also called pallet trucks), including walkie models and ride-on models. As efficient warehouse equipment, they are designed for fast, low lift moves even in tight aisles. Our pallet jack’s loading capacity is from 1,500 kg to 3,000 kg with a lifting height of 80mm and 125 mm. They help maintain an efficient workflow and precise goods handling. Remember to measure aisle width (Ast), floor flatness, gradients and maximum loading requirement before selecting your own electric pallet jack.
Most electric pallet jacks stop at 1,500 to 2,000 kg
Headroom for heavy pallets without stepping up to a forklift
Turning radius (walkie)
1,296 mm
About 1,400 to 1,800 mm
Works in backrooms, truck bodies and tight rack runs
Range coverage
Walkie and rider models in one range
Many suppliers offer pedestrian models only
Short runs and long runs from one supplier, one parts pool
Power
Lithium-ion across the whole range
Lead-acid and AGM still common at entry level
Opportunity charging, no watering, no battery change room
Cold store
Every model rated to -20 °C as standard
Cool-room capability often a separate special-order model
Chilled and frozen work without a bespoke unit
Local delivery
1 to 3 days (MEL / SYD / BNE)
Imported units often take weeks
Urgent orders don't wait, no warehouse standstill
Manufacturer backing
Hangcha Group, top 8 worldwide
Depends on each maker's scale and network

How to choose an electric pallet jack
Four parameters determine the model. Establish these before comparing anything else.
Load profile and rated capacity
Size to the heaviest load you handle routinely, not your average pallet. Operating permanently at rated capacity slows every cycle and shortens component life. If a meaningful share of your loads sit near a model's ceiling, step up a capacity class.
Aisle width and turning clearance (Ast)
Work from measured floor dimensions, not rack drawings. Verify three points under load: the U-turn at the end of your longest aisle, the 90-degree entry into your tightest rack run, and the right-angle stacking aisle (Ast) at your busiest pick face.
Allow approximately 200 mm working clearance beyond the measured figure. Also check doorways, dock levellers and any point where the truck changes direction with a laden fork.
Duty cycle and travel distance
Below approximately 30 metres per pallet movement, a pedestrian model is the appropriate specification. Above that figure, or beyond roughly 100 movements per shift, a rider model returns the capital difference through throughput and reduced operator fatigue.
Operating environment
Gradients, cold store, container and tail-lift work, and floor condition each alter the specification. Identify these at selection stage, because they are difficult and expensive to retrofit.

Electric Pallet Jack FAQ
Should I choose a pallet jack or a pallet stacker?
A pallet truck moves pallets across short distances at floor level, while a pallet stacker lifts pallets onto higher shelves. If you mainly move goods horizontally, choose a pallet truck. If you need to lift goods vertically onto racking, choose a pallet stacker.
Are these trucks suitable for narrow aisles?
Yes. Hangcha's pallet trucks have a tight turning radius, which makes them suitable for narrow aisles and tight spaces.
Can pallet jacks be used in cold storage environments?
Yes. Our models are built to operate in conditions down to -20 °C, so they hold up well in cold storage.
