How to choose the right Electric Scissor Lift

Working Height and Platform Capacity

Check the highest point your operators need to reach, and remember to allow extra room for tools and a safe working area. Choose an electric scissor lift with enough working height and a platform capacity that can cover the heaviest working demand.

Indoor or Outdoor Use

For smooth warehouse floors and indoor operations, a compact self-propelled scissor lift is usually the best choice. And for outdoor operations on rough, uneven or partially finished ground, we will suggest a crawler scissor lift which will provide better stability and performance.

Aisle Width and Turning Space

Why do I need a scissor lift?

Compared to traditional ladders, a scissor lift provides a safer and more sufficient way for operators to complete maintenance and pick up products in particularly high areas.

What should I do if I get stuck at height while using a scissor lift?

Firstly, you need stay calm and remain inside the platform. All of our models have emergency lowering function. If it doesn’t work, you should call a ground worker to use the manual emergency descent controls.

Can I use a mini self-propelled scissor lift outdoors or an HS crawler scissor lift indoors?

Although the mini models are designed for indoor activities and the HS series models are designed for outdoor activities, you can use them in the opposite way. For example, if the outdoor surface condition is smooth and even, you can use the mini model to complete outdoor tasks. HS machines can technically be used indoors, but their tracks may damage the floor. Therefore, we recommend matching the lift type to the environment for better performance.
